The matter is placed before the Lok Adalat today.

The MACT First, Jodhpur by its judgment and award dated 20.02.2017 in MAC Case No. 155/2014 awarded a sum of Rs. 12,40,142/- alongwith interest @ 9% per annum.

With the consent of the parties, a total amount of Rs. 7,50,000/- in favour of the claimant(s) as a full and final settlement of the case in lieu of the awarded amount is decided to be paid. The amount so agreed shall be deposited by the respondent Insurance Company with the Tribunal within a period of two months from today failing which, the same shall carry interest @ 7.5% per annum from the date of this order till actual realization. The amount of compensation be disbursed in terms of the award in the saving bank account of the claimant(s) without insisting upon FDR. The award impugned dated 20.02.2017 passed by MACT First, Jodhpur in Claim Case No. 155/2014 is modified accordingly.

In view of the above, the appeal is disposed of. The Registry is directed to send back the record forthwith.
