1. By way of present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged

the show cause notice dated 20.10.2024, issued to the petitioner

by respondent No.2, wherein show cause notice records that the

petitioner has been convicted by the Sessions Judge, Special

Court, Prevention of Corruption Act, Sri Ganganagar in the

corruption case vide its judgment dated 25.10.2017 and has been

sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of two years

apart from fine of Rs.10,000/- and calls upon the petitioner to

show cause as to why appropriate action be not taken against

him.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner has been convicted by the

judgment dated 25.10.2017 and in an appeal filed thereagainst,

his sentence has been suspended, but not the conviction.

4. The notice dated 20.10.2024 has not been challenged on

ground of jurisdiction or being fundamentally void.

5. This Court does not find any error or infirmity in the action

which the respondents are taking against the petitioner,

particularly in face of the order of conviction.

6. The present writ petition lacks merit and force, for which it is

hereby dismissed.

7. The stay application also stands dismissed.
