The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a direction to the

respondents to re-fix the petitioners' pension by granting them annual increment

in the last year of retirement, along with all consequential benefits.

2. Learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, contends that

the Division Bench judgment dated 15.04.2024, Annexure P-2, relied upon by the

petitioners to claim the benefit of one annual increment, has been stayed by the

Supreme Court in pending SLPs.

3. In this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission

to withdraw the petition with liberty to file a fresh one after decision of the said

SLPs in case the cause survives to them.

4. Permitted to do so.

5. Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty prayed for.
