The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the

Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for

directing the official respondents to conduct and complete the inquiry which

was initiated on the complaint dated 17.03.2022 (Annexure P-1) submitted

by the petitioner alleging misuse of funds by the Gram Panchayat, Village

Bal Bawa, Ajnala (Amritsar).

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the inquiry was

initiated vide letter dated 27.05.2022 (Annexure P-2) and despite lapse of

more than two years, the inquiry has not been concluded.

3. On advance service of copy of petition, Mr. Navneet Singh,

Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab appears on behalf of the

authenticity of this document/judgment

respondent-State.

4. Learned State counsel submits that in case, the inquiry has not

been concluded, the same shall be concluded by the concerned Authority

within a period of three months from today after affording due opportunity

of hearing to the petitioner.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view

the aforesaid submissions made by learned State counsel, he does not intend

to press the instant writ petition any further, at this stage.

6. Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for

the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of accordingly.

7. All the pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed.
