1. This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure has been filed for quashing of complaint under the provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act bearing No.NACT/600 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020 (Annexure P-1) along with its consequential proceedings, pending before the JMIC, SAS Nagar Mohali.
2. The counsel for the respondent has pointed out that the evidence of the prosecution is already over. The case is at the stage of recording of statement regarding the stand of the petitioner.
3. In view of the above, this court does not find it appropriate to interfere at this stage to quash the complaint. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
4. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to avail all the legally
available pleas; before the trial court.
5. The pending application, if any, is also disposed of.
