1 By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to

the official respondents to protect their life and liberty at the hands of

respondents No.4 to 6.

2 Notice of motion.

3 On the asking of the Court, Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG,

Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

4 As per the petitioners, they have married on 11.11.2023 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, who happen to be the family members/ relatives of petitioner No.1 ie. Bavalpreet Kaur.

5 Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1- Bavalpreet Kaur is 18.10.2003 born and petitioner No.2-Jaspreet Singh is 01.07.2000

born.

6 Without coramenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, | deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 11.11.2023 (Annexure P-6} submitted by the petitioners.

7 Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 6 in his presence, so that the

parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably.
