VIKRAM AGGARWAL, J (ORAL) This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the
Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners by providing adequate security/protection to them and not to interfere and harass the petitioners at the instance of respondents No.5 and 6.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that they being majors have solemnized marriage with their own consent in accordance with law. However, the private respondents are not accepting the marriage of the petitioners and are extending threats to them. The copies of 'Aadhaar' cards
(Annexures P-1 and P-2) of petitioners No.1 and 2 have been placed on
record.
3. Notice of motion.
4. Mr. Anmol Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on
behalf of the official respondents.
5. Without commenting upon the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 16.06.2023 (Annexure P-4) and take requisite action, if so warranted, as per the facts and circumstances of the
matter in accordance with law.
