1. The present appeal has been filed against the judgment of
conviction dated 12.03.2009, passed by the learned Special Judge, Barnala, under Section 15 of NDPS Act in case FIR No.52 dated 15.05.2007 registered at Police Station Tapa, vide which appellant has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 1-1/2 year and Rs. 1,000/- fine.
2 As per the office report, notices issued to the appellant have been received back unserved, with the report that the appellant has expired.
3. In light of the above, the concerned SHO is directed to inform the legal representatives of the appellant with regard to the pendency of this appeal and in light of the above, the present appeal stands abated qua the
conviction.
