The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.38 dated 03.05.2023, under Sections 420 and 406 of IPC at Police Station Chhajli, District Sangrur.

Status report by way of affidavit of Sukha Singh, ASI, P.S. Chhajli, Investigating Officer of the case, on behalf of the respondent/State has been filed in the Court is taken on record.

Learned State counsel, being instructed by ASI Sukha Singh, has submitted that the petitioner has not joined the investigation despite the order dated 29.05.2023 passed by this Court.

This fact is not disputed even by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

In view of the above, this Court does not find it appropriate to continue with the present petition any further.

Dismissed.
