On 24.03.2023, the following order was passed:-

"A bunch of six connected writ petitions is pending in this Court. The petitioners are working on different posts under the State Government. They pray for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the anomaly in the pay scale.

The learned counsel representing the State of Punjab has submitted that identical writ petitions have been dismissed on 11.09.2017. The main judgment has been written in CWP-22069-2014, titled as "Om Parkash and others vs. Chief Secretary to Government of Punjab and others", decided on 11.09.2017.

The learned counsel representing the petitioners pray for some time to examine the judgment and assist the Court.

Adjourned to 20.04.2023.

To be listed in the urgent list.

adjournment shall be entertained.

The learned counsel representing the petitioners, though made

sincere attempt, however failed to draw the attention of the court to any

distinguishing feature in the judgment passed in Om Parkash case (supra).

It has been brought to the notice of the court that the aforesaid judgment has

been upheld by the Division Bench in LPA no.2206 of 2017, decided on

20.11.2017.

In view thereof, the writ petition is dismissed.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also

disposed of.
