Petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 438 of the

Code of Criminal Procedure, for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in

case FIR No.257, dated 01.09.2022 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 21 and

29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered

at Police Station Civil Lines Batala, Police District Batala, District

Gurdaspur.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner

submits that the petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial Court and

hence he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, however, he

submits that an appropriate direction be issued that his application for

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as

withdrawn, however, in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court

within a period of two weeks from today and moves an application for grant

of regular bail, the same shall be considered by the learned trial Court

expeditiously (if possible), in accordance with law.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
