The primary grievance which has been highlighted by the petitioners herein is that their right to vote has been denied to them on

wrong factual aspects.

It is asserted that although the petitioners are members of the different Bar Associations, they had given affidavit to the effect that they would exercise their right to vote at Sohna, District Gurugram.

A representation has also been submitted by the petitioners. The said representation is dated 03.12.2022 (Annexure P-8). The factual aspects having been highlighted, if correct, need to be verified by the Election Committee of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh which has been duly constituted by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.

The present writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the said Election Committee to consider the representation of the petitioners and take a decision thereon forthwith i.e. today itself.
