1. The Appellant-Husband is before this Court challenging partly decree obtained by him in C.P. No.206 of 2019 before learned Judge, Family Court, Bhadrak. By the said judgment and decree dated 23.08.2024, the application filed by the appellant- petitioner-husband in the marriage under Section 13(1) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 was allowed. Though successful before the learned trial Court, the appellant- petitioner challenges the grant of permanent alimony of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs) to the respondent- wife.
2. The appellant is working as Assistant Driver in the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak and getting gross salary of Rs.41,024/-.
3. Learned counsel for the appellant has adjournment to obtain instruction from the appellant to secure the decree towards permanent alimony during pendency of the appeal before this Court.
4. As prayed for by the learned counsel for the appellant, list tomorrow (08.01.2026) for 'orders'.
