            CORAM:
                  HON'BLE MISS JUSTICE SAVITRI RATHO
                                ORDER

25.07.2025 Order No.

05. (Through hybrid Mode)

1. While rejecting the bail application by judgment dated 10th

January, 2025, considering the fact that the Petitioner was in custody

since 23rd July, 2023, the learned trial Court had been requested to

make an endeavour to complete the trial by end of June, 2025.

2. A letter dated 23rd June, 2025 has been received from the

learned Civil Judge, (Senior Division), (Women's Court), Nayagarh

where it is stated that 24 out of 25 witnesses have already been

examined. On 21.06.2025, an application has been filed by the

prosecution under Section 311 of the Cr.P.C. for examination of

some vital witnesses in the case, who had not been cited as witnesses

earlier and the entire SFSL report had not been submitted before this

Court which has to be called for. She has therefore prayed for further

four months' time for disposal of the case.

3. Mr. N. Mohapatra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.

Ranjan Kumar Rout, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that

since only one witness remains to be examined, hence time for

disposal of the case may be extended by one month only.

4. Considering the request of the learned trial Court, especially

the statement that an application under Section 311 of the Cr.P.C.

has been filed by the prosecution and the entire SFSL report has not

been submitted, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of

justice to grant time till 31st October, 2025 for completion of the

trial.

5. This order maybe communicated to the learned trial Court

forthwith by the Registry.
