1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties.

3. Petitioner has filed the present writ petition inter alia with the following prayer:-

"Therefore, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to-

(i) to Admit the writ application;

(ii) Call for record;

(iii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ/writs, direction/directions directing the opposite parties, more particularly opposite party Nos. 1 and 2 to extend the benefit of placement in the Lecturer (Group-A) Scale of pay as well as Reader (State Scale) Scale of pay in favour of the petitioner retrospectively w.e.f. 20.08.1994 and 20.08.2004 by suitably modifying the Govt. Notification dt. 17.04.2017 under Annexure-5 in respect of present petitioner only in terms of Rule-4 and 9 of the Odisha Non-Government aided college Lecturer's Placement Rules, 2014, keeping in view law decided by this Hon'ble Court in the case of Chittaranjan Das Versus State of Odisha & Ors. (W.P.C) No.8976 of

2017 disposed of on 03.04.2023, so also the similar judgment passed in the case of Dolamani Meher and batch Versus State of Odisha & Ors. (W.P.(C) No.4312 of 2016 and batch disposed of on 06.07.2023), with all consequential service benefits as due and admissible, including the differential arrears within a reasonable time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

And this Hon'ble Court may pass any other order/orders as would be deemed just and proper by this Hon'ble Court;

And for this act of kindness, the petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray."

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that though highlighting his grievances, Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition before the Opp. Party No. 1, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No. 1 to take a decision on the above noted Petition within a specific time period.

5. Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No. 1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law taking into account Annexure-5 & 6, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
