1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties.

3. Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition inter alia with following prayer:

"(i) Admit this writ application by calling for the records/documents from the Opp. Parties;

(ii) Quash Sl. No.55 of the office order No.23616 dated 24.06.2017 issued by the Director, Higher Education and Sl. No. 13 of the Notification No. 19994/HE dated 10.05.2023 issued by the Special Secretary, Department of Higher Education udner Annexure-4 series;

(iii) Direct the opp. Parties, particularly Opp. Party No.1-

Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Higher Education, to grant the benefit of Lecturer Group-A scale of pay w.e.f 23.04.2003 instead of 23.04.2012 and the Reader (SS) scale of pay w.e.f 23.04.2013 instead of 23.04.2022 in terms of the judgment dated 03.04.2023 passed by this Hon'ble Court in

WP(C) NO.8976 of 2017 titled as Chittaranjan Das Vs. State of Odisha & Others.

(iv) Issue further directions(s)/order(s) directing the opp. Parties, particularly opp. Party No.1 & 2 to calculate the differential arrears and pay same to the Petitioner within a stipulated period.

(v) Pass such other order/orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem it fit and proper to give complete relief to the Petitioner.

And for this act of kindness, the petitioner shall, as in duty bound, ever pray."

4. However, taking into account the claim raised in the present Writ Petition, liberty is granted to the Petitioner to make a fresh representation before Opp. Party No.1 by enclosing all the relevant documents and citations in support of his claim, if any, within a period two (2) weeks hence.

4.1. It is observed that if such a representation is filed within the aforesaid period, Opp. Party No.1 shall do well to take a lawful decision on the same within a period of three months thereafter. The order so passed by the Opp. Party No.1 be communicated to the petitioner.

4.2. It is further observed that along with the representation, order passed in the case of Chittaranjan Das Vs. State of Odisha & Others so relied on by the learned counsel for the Petitioner be enclosed.

5. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition

stands disposed of.
