   01.      1.       This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. It is submitted by Mr. Behera, learned counsel for the Petitioner that pursuant to the judgment dated 13th February, 2024 passed by the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Nuapada in LAR No.12 of 2021 in a reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for brevity, 'the Act'), the Petitioner has filed an application under Section 28-A of the Act on 22nd April, 2024 for redetermination of the compensation. The said application is still pending with the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Lower Indra Irrigation Project, Khariar.

2.1. Mr. Behera, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that due to inaction of the Special Land Acquisition Officer, this writ

application has been filed for early disposal of the application under section 28-A of the Act.

3. Mr. Pattnaik, learned Additional Government Advocate prays for an adjournment to take instruction with regard to current status of the application under Section 28-A of the Act, by the next date.

4. Put up this matter on 21st January, 2026. Instruction, if any shall be obtained by that date positively.
