On 28.07.2021, when the matter was called for hearing, since no one appeared to argue the appeal, the learned counsel for the State was asked to intimate the appellant through the Inspector in-charge of Binika police station to engage any counsel of his choice to argue the Criminal Appeal, otherwise a counsel from the legal aid panel would be engaged to argue the appeal and the date of posting of the case was also directed to be intimated to the appellant.

On 12.08.2021, the matter was again listed for hearing and the learned counsel for the State sought for some more time to obtain instruction as per the order dated 28.07.2021.

Today, the learned counsel for the State produced a letter of the appellant in which it is mentioned that he is not interested to continue this Criminal Appeal and wants that the appeal should be disposed of accordingly. The letter of the appellant produced by the learned counsel for the State is taken on record.

Accordingly, the CRLA is disposed of as not pressed.
