Heard Mr. B.M. Sarangi, learned counsel for the
petitioner and Mr. P.K. Behera, learned Standing Counsel
for Transport Department.
The petitioner has filed this application challenging
the tax and penalty imposed on his vehicle by the
authority.
Considering the contentions raised in the writ
petition and after hearing learned counsel for the parties,
this writ petition is disposed of in the light of the
judgment passed by this Court in Sujit Kumar Dhir v.
R.T.O., Keonjhar, 2014 (II) OLR 1070.
As the restrictions due to the COVID-19 situation are
continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize the
soft copy of this order available in the High Court's website
or print out thereof at par with certified copies in the
manner prescribed, vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated
25th March, 2020.
