                       JUDGMENT AND ORDER (ORAL)

1. At the outset itself, Dr. N. Mozika, learned DSGI assisted

by Ms. A. Pradhan, learned counsel for the respondents has informed

the Court that the grievance of the writ petitioners has since been

redressed. In this connection, the learned DSGI has placed before the

Court a communication dated 25.04.2024, wherein it is indicated that

the Board of Officers for screening of Cipher category personnel for

grant of ACP and MACP as per their entitlements has already been

convened, and as the number of personnel under consideration is large

numbering 1050, 4(four) months' time is required to grant the said

benefit. He therefore prays that the writ petition be closed allowing the

respondents 4(four) months' time to complete the process.

2. Mr. V. Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners has no

objections to the said submission.

3. Heard the learned counsels for the parties.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned DSGI, this

writ petition is disposed of at this stage itself placing reliance on the

communication dated 25.04.2024, which is reproduced hereinbelow:-
