ORAL
1. Mr. A.H.Kharwanlang, learned GA for the State respondents submits that
the Government of Meghalaya in pursuance to the judgment and order of this
Court dated 10-02-2022 passed in WP(C). No. 301 of 2018, has prepared a
gradation list based on the date of appointment and that at the same time vide
order dated 07-03-2022, has promoted the petitioner and other Officers to Senior
Grade Time Scale of MCS under level 19 of Pay Matrix of revised pay structure.
He therefore submits that the cause of action for the instant petition no longer
exists.
2. Dr. N.Mozika, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Mr. M.L.Nongpiur, learned
counsel appearing for the petitioner concurs to the submissions of the learned
GA and submits that however the petitioners reserves their right to contest the
matter on the fresh cause of action.
3. In view of this development, the writ petition stands closed leaving the
parties to bear their own costs.
