[1] Heard Mr. S. Rajeetchandra, learned counsel for the petitioner.

[2] The petitioner who is a candidate for the post of Vice-President of Manipur Peoples Party is aggrieved by delay in the election for the said post after the resignment of the earlier State Returning Officer (SRO). The election of the Vice-President could not be conducted due to resignation of earlier SRO and non-appointment of new SRO.

[3]                   Issue notice.

[4]                   Mr. A. Jagjit, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of
respondent nos. 2 & 3.

[5]                   Petitioner is directed to take steps on the respondent no. 1 by

speed post and dasti in addition within 1(one) week and file affidavit of proof of service.

[6] Mr. A. Jagjit, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 & 3 prays for 2(two) week's time for filing counter affidavit.
