Heard Mr. M. Ibohal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners; Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents No. 1 to 4, Mr. N. Ibotombi, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Th. Ningtamba, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 8 and Mr. K. Achouba, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 10.

The present writ petition has been filed assailing the Notification dated 11-09-2024 issued by the Commissioner, Education (S) Department, Government of Manipur, notifying the Final Seniority List of 10 (ten) Assistant Engineer of the Education Engineering Wing under Education (S) Department, Government of Manipur.

It has been submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, this court has already passed a judgment and order dated 01-09-2025 in WP(C) No. 694 of 2024 by which the said impugned Final Seniority List has been quashed and set aside by directing the authorities to re-fix the

seniority position of the said ten Assistant Engineers as contained in the said judgment and order. The learned counsel, accordingly, submitted that as the impugned Final Seniority List has already been quashed and set aside with the direction for re-fixation of the seniority position of the incumbents, no cause survives for adjudication in this writ petition and that the present writ petition can be closed.

The counsel appearing for the respondents endorsed the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby closed.
