                     PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
                     India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to call for the
                     records pertaining the impugned order passed by the first respondent in
                     No.695/c.j.2/2024, dated 20.10.2024 and quash the same as bad in law
                     and further directing the respondents 1 & 2 to grant ordinary leave for a
                     period of 30 days to the petitioner's son namely Kaleeswaran s/o.Vijayan
                     C.P.No.1415 who is languishing in jail for past 4 years.

                                                            ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.)

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner was convicted and sentenced to 10 years rigorous

imprisonment vide Judgment dated 08.11.2022 in C.C.No.280 of 2021 on

the file of the II Additional NDPS Court, Madurai.

3. It is seen that the case involves commercial quantity of narcotic

substance. The petitioner has filed Crl.A.(MD)No.340 of 2023. It is

open to the petitioner herein to move the appellate Court for appropriate

relief. We do not want to interfere with the impugned order rejecting the

petitioner's request for grant of ordinary leave.

4. The Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
