PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for
issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to grant the
permission and protection for conducting Aaadal Paadal Cultural Program on
25.08.2023 at about 06.00 pm to 10.00 pm in connection with Sri Perumal, Sivan,
Sri Bathirakaliyamman, Sudalaimadan temples in Auvaiyalpuram Village,
Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District in light of the judgment of the Division
Bench in WP (MD) No.12535 of 2023, reported in 2023 3 CTC 622, based upon
considering petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2023.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India
seeking for a direction to the respondent police to grant the permission to conduct
the Aadal Paadal programme on 25.08.2023 from 06.00 pm to 10.00 pm in
connection with Sri Perumal, Sivan, Sri Bathirakaliyamman, Sudalaimadan
temples situated at Auvaiyalpuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli
District.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government
Advocate (Crl.side) after taking instructions from the concerned police has
reported that the respondent police have no objection to grant the permission to
the petitioner for conducting the Aadal Paadal programme on 25.08.2023 in
connection with Sri Perumal, Sivan, Sri Bathirakaliyamman, Sudalaimadan
temples in Auvaiyalpuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

3.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent
police to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2023 and
dispose of the same by today itself granting the permission for conducting the
Aadal Paadal programme to the petitioner on 25.08.2023 from 07.00 pm to 10.00
pm alone. No costs.
