This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 145 days in filing
the writ appeal.
2. We have carefully gone through the order passed by the learned
single Judge and we find that the writ petition was allowed with a direction
to the first respondent to rectify the pay anomaly in respect of the petitioner
and to step up the pay on par with his junior, who was getting a higher pay.
It is brought to our notice that promotion of the junior has become final and
his pay has also become final and hence, there is absolutely no merit in
denying the writ petitioner of the same relief by stepping up his pay.

3. We do not find any ground to entertain the writ appeal and hence,
no useful purpose will be served in dealing with this petition. In view of the
above, this petition is dismissed. Consequently, the Writ Appeal stands
rejected at the SR stage itself. No costs.
