JUDGMENT

Today, Mrs.Ambili Menon, learned counsel appearing for the

appellant and Mrs.R.T.Shyamala, learned counsel appearing for the
respondent along with the appellant and the respondent appeared before us
and both the learned counsel made a joint statement that the matrimonial
disputes erupted between the parties have been compromised and settled
before the Mediation Centre on the terms agreed to in the memo of
compromise, resultantly, among other things, Mr.U.Udayabhaskar Reddy,
the respondent herein had offered/paid a sum of Rs.1,50,00,000/- towards
the full and final settlement and Ms.V.Tanujayaswina, the appellant herein
admitted before us that the said amount has been credited to her bank
account with HDFC Bank at Shanthi Colony Branch, Chennai. This apart,
both the appellant and the respondent have also withdrawn all the
allegations made by them against each other in the petitions, affidavits or
counter affidavits filed before the IV Additional Family Court in
H.M.O.P.No.62 of 2016, H.M.O.P.No.2596 of 2018 on the file of the II
Additional Family Court at Chennai and also in the present civil
miscellaneous appeal filed before this Court. The joint memorandum of
compromise dated 4.3.2022 entered into between the parties in the
mediation has been placed before us and both the learned counsel requested

this Court to pass a decree of divorce on the terms of the aforementioned
joint memorandum of compromise agreed between the parties in the
mediation.
2. Recording their joint statement and placing on record the
memorandum of compromise signed and filed by the parties along with the
signatures of the respective learned counsel dated 4.3.2022 entered in the
mediation, this civil miscellaneous appeal stands disposed of and there shall
be a decree of divorce dissolving the marriage solemnized between the
appellant and the respondent on 07.06.1998 at Raja Muthiah Hall, Egmore,
Chennai on the terms of the aforementioned joint memorandum of
compromise, which shall form part of the decree. Consequently, interim
order stands vacated and the C.M.P.No.22675 of 2019 is closed. However,
there is no order as to costs.
