            Prayer :- Criminal Appeal is filed under Section 378 (1) (b) of Code of Criminal
            Procedure, to set aside the judgment of acquittal of the respondent/accused passed by
            the Court of the learned Special Judge (Special Court for Trial of cases under the
            Prevention of Corruption Act), Salem in Spl.C.C.No.38 of 2014, dated 27.06.2016,
            convict the respondent/accused, pass sentence against him in accordance with law
            and allow this Appeal.

                                                         ORDER

This appeal is filed to set aside the judgment of acquittal of the

respondent/accused passed by the Court of the learned Special Judge (Special Court

for Trial of cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act), Salem in Spl.C.C.No.38

of 2014, dated 27.06.2016, convict the respondent/accused, pass sentence against

him.

2.When this Appeal is taken up today (i.e. on 11.04.2022), the learned

Additional Public Prosecutor and also counsel for the respondent submitted that the

respondent/accused was dead on 27.07.2021. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor

also filed memo intimating the death of the respondent along with the copy of the

death certificate. Memo recorded.

3.In view of the death of the appellant, Criminal Appeal in Crl.A.No.797 of

2016, is dismissed as abated.
