2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the

learned counsel for the petitioner as well the learned counsel for the

respondents jointly submitted that the issue at hand is no longer

res integra, in view of the judgment rendered by a Division Bench of

this Court in WA.No.3899 of 2019 on 11.03.2020, the operative

portion of which, is profitably extracted hereunder:

“23. No doubt, the learned Single Judge has not discussed about applicability of Board Proceeding Nos.46 and 17, which are the schemes framed by the respondent Department for considering appointment on compassionate basis. Instead of remanding the matter back to the learned Single Judge, we have found it appropriate to discuss the scheme and pass a judgment more particularly the fate of the appeal is the same as that of the writ petition. The Writ Appeal is dismissed. No Costs.”

3. This Court is of the opinion that following the aforesaid

judgment, no further order is required to be passed in this writ

petition. Hence, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
