JUDGMENT
Dated this the 7th day of July, 2025
Petitioner has approached this Court seeking to quash additional
admission given to five candidates for PhD programme malayalam
2019-20, on the allegation that 20% reservation stipulated in Ext.P4 for
students belonging to SC/ST community for the PhD programme has
not been followed by the University.
2. When the matter came up for consideration on 30.06.2025
the learned Standing Counsel for the University sought for a short time
to file a statement based on the instruction received from the Registrar
of University dated 25.06.2025, wherein it is reported that the
University has no objection in accommodating the petitioner for PhD for
the academic year 2025-26.
3. Taking into consideration the above stand taken by the
respondent University, there will be a direction to the respondent
University to grant admission to the petitioner in the PhD programme
for the academic year 2025-26, after following all due procedures.
With the above said direction the writ petition is disposed of.
