JUDGMENT
The petitioner is working as Higher Secondary
School Teacher (junior) Hindi in the Naduvil Higher
Secondary School, Kannur District with effect from
02.01.2012. The appointment of the petitioner was
approved as per Ext.P1. The case of the petitioner is that,
from the academic year 2014-2015 onwards, there is
sufficient workload for the petitioner, which necessitates
up-gradation of the post as HSST. Even though, the
Manager submitted Ext.P4 before the 1 st respondent in this
regard, the same has not been acted upon so far.
2. After hearing the learned counsel for the
petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, I am of

the view that, since this is a matter to be considered by
the 1st respondent, and Ext.P4 has been submitted as
early as in the year 2018, the expeditious disposal of the
same is necessary.
In such circumstances, this writ petition is
disposed of directing the 1st respondent to take a decision
on Ext.P4 within a period of three months from the date of
receipt of a copy of this Judgment.
