JUDGMENT
The above Writ Petition is filed with the following prayers:
"i. Issue a writ of mandamus or such other writs, order or direction, directing the respondent Secretary Regional Transport Authority, Malappuram to permit the petitioner to continue operation from 07.01.2023 on the basis of Ext.P5 interim order valid till 06.01.2023 as relating to the permit on the route Edappal- Kunnamkulam in respect of SC KL-08 AF 6652, till the Tribunal consider Ext.P7 petition for extension, ed the pending disposal of the writ petition;
ii. To grant such other reliefs as this Honourable Court may deem fit and proper." (SIC)
2. When this writ petition came up for consideration on
30.12.2022, this Court passed the following orders;
Government Pleader to get instructions
Post on 12.01.2023.
The Petitioner states that the State Transport Appellate Tribunal is not sitting till 06.01.2023 . In view of the above, the benefit of continuation of service given to the petitioner as per Ext.P5 will stand extended till 12.01.2023"

3. Admittedly, the State Transport Appellate Tribunal is not
sitting even now. In such circumstances the interim order passed as
evident by Ext.P4 can be extended for a period of ten days without
expressing any opinion on merit.
Therefore, this Writ petition is disposed of, extending the interim
order in M.P. No.1330/2022 in M.P. No.1145/2022 in MVAA
No.18/2022 of the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Ernakulam for
a further period of ten days.
