Writ petition (civil) praying inter alia that in the circumstances
stated in the affidavit filed along with the WP(C) the High Court be
pleased to stay all further proceedings pursuant to Ext.P6 and direct the
respondents to grant fresh electricity connection to the 2nd petitioner
based on her application, subject to Regulation 40(3) of the Supply Code,
2014, within 2 weeks, pending consideration of the Writ Petition, in the
interest of justice.
This petition coming on for admission upon perusing the petition and
the affidavit filed in support of WP(C) and upon hearing the arguments of
SRI.L.RAJESH NARAYAN, Advocate for the petitioners, GOVERNMENT PLEADER for
R1 & R2 and of Standing counsel for R3 to R5 the court passed the

2. Petitioners rely on the judgment in Rafeek C.A. v. Kerala
State Electricity Board Ltd. and others reported in 2019 (5) KHC 49
in support of their contentions.
3. Heard the learned standing counsel for the Electricity
Board also.
After hearing both sides, there will be an interim order as
prayed for.
Post immediately after vacation.
