 WP(C) NO. 97 OF 2022
                                      2

                                JUDGMENT

Dated this the 14th day of January, 2022

The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite transferring

him from Upper Kallar to Thiruvananthapuram, vide Ext.P2

order, he is not being relieved from the present station.

Learned Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner is being

retained for completing certain pending works.

2. The petitioner having been transferred under Ext.P1

order, there is no justification for retaining him in the present

station indefinitely. The authority is bound to relieve the

petitioner and permit him to join the transferred station without

further delay.

The writ petition is hence disposed of, directing the 3 rd

respondent to relieve the petitioner from his present post at

the earliest and at any rate within one month of receipt of a

copy of this judgment.
