                                           JUDGMENT

The accused in C.C.No.1841/2018 on the file of the Judicial

First Class Magistrate's Court-I, Varkala has moved this Court for

expeditious disposal of the case. It is a case charged under Section

279, 337, 338 and 304A of the IPC.

2. A report was called for from the learned Judicial First

Class Magistrate's Court-I, Varkala where it is stated that the petitioner

was granted permanent exemption for two years from 11.03.2020 and

the next posting date was 10.02.2022.

3. Petitioner is a 23 year old person. I do not think that

priority should be given for the disposal of the case, which is only a

case of the year 2018. Even though the learned Magistrate has offered

to dispose of the case within three months, if the covid situation

improves. In this pandemic situation, the learned Magistrate is

directed to try and dispose the case within a period of one year from

the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

O.P.(Crl) is disposed of as above.
