             ----------------------------------------
                   O.P.(CRL)NOS.166 & 168 OF 2021
              ----------------------------------------
Dated this the 18th day of February, 2022

                            O R D E R

By common judgment dated 23/06/2021, this Court had directed the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Adoor to dispose of C.C.Nos.3743 of 2016 and 3316 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the judgment. The learned Magistrate has reported that he has taken diligent efforts to dispose of the cases, but due to the intervening lock down and the fact that the cases are hotly contested and examination of witnesses is time consuming, he could not dispose of the cases within the period, which has expired on 21.01.2022. By report dated 12.1.2022, he seeks four more months' time to dispose of the cases.

After considering the report, it is reasonable that further time as prayed for be granted. Extension of time is granted for four more months.
