                                    JUDGMENT

The Prayer in this writ petition is for a proper investigation into Crime

No.1481 of 2019 registered at Thodupuzha Police Station, wherein

petitioners figure as the accused. By an interim order dated 15.12.2020,

this court had restrained the police from taking coercive steps against the

petitioners. Later, it was reported that the petitioners had appeared before

the Investigating Officer and were let off after questioning. It is submitted

that applications for bail filed by the petitioners are pending consideration

before this court.

2. Since this court finds no reason to entrust the investigation with a

superior officer and as the petitioners have moved bail applications, nothing

survives for consideration in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition

is closed. The interim order shall be in force for a period of one week from

today.
