                              JUDGMENT

Heard Sri.T.M.Manoj, learned counsel for the petitioner and

Ms.Anjali Menon, learned counsel for respondents.

2. On 6.1.2021, this Court called for a report from the

Rent Control Court, Thrissur, directing it to state the time

required for disposal of R.C.P No.172/2019 pending before that

Court. Pursuant to the direction, a report dated 7.1.2021 has

been submitted by the Rent Control Court, Thrissur stating that

R.C.P No.172/2019 could be disposed of in two months time.

Counsel for the respondents seeks time to file a counter

statement in the eviction case.

Having regard to the report, we direct the tenants/

respondents to file a counter statement before the trial court in

two weeks from today. The Rent Control Court, Thrissur shall

dispose of R.C.P No.172/2019 within two months from the date of

filing counter statement.
