 WP(Crl.).No.40 OF 2021 2

                                  JUDGMENT

K. Vinod Chandran, J.

Petitioner has filed the writ petition

claiming that the granddaughter of the 3rd respondent

is in love with him and she is now in the illegal

custody of respondents 3 & 4. We directed a woman

police officer to take a statement from the alleged

detenue. The statement is placed on record, which

indicates that though the granddaughter of the 3rd

respondent admits to the relationship through

telephone, the said relationship was only on account

of the granddaughter of the 3rd respondent having not

seen the petitioner. Subsequently on seeing him, the

3rd respondent's granddaughter had expressed

unwillingness to marry with him. The granddaughter of

the 3rd respondent submits that there is no illegal

detention and that she is residing with the 3 rd

respondent on her own free will.

In the above circumstances, the writ petition

is dismissed.
