                               PRESENT

THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SUNIL THOMAS

THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON
09.02.2021, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:
 WP(C).No.2287 OF 2021(I)

                                 2

                            JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is a senior regular stage

carriage permit holder operating on the route Erattupetta

- Kaloor. The timing of this service was last fixed on

12.11.2009. Several services have been thereafter

introduced on this route covering major portions of the

route. There were also revisions of timings and surrender

of permits on this route. Hence, the petitioner submitted

Ext.P2 application, requesting for a revision of timing.

The grievance of the petitioner herein is that, the above

application has not been taken up and considered by the

authority which affects his service, since there is actual

time clash with the other stage carriage operators.

2. When the matter was taken up, the learned

senior Government Pleader submitted that a report has

been called for from the AMVI and is awaited. Having

considered the limited prayer sought by the petitioner

herein, I am inclined to dispose of the Writ Petition itself, WP(C).No.2287 OF 2021(I)

by directing the Secretary, RTA to consider Ext.P2

application as expeditiously as possible, at any rate,

within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a

copy of this judgment, after giving reasonable

opportunity to all parties concerned, to raise their

objections if any. The AMVI may be directed to submit

the report without delay.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
