                                   ORDER

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and also the

learned Public Prosecutor. The petitioner is the accused in Crime

No.263/2018 of Nadapuarm Police Station, which is still at the

investigation stage. The petitioner is abroad and the period granted

by this Court for surrendering the passport has expired. By the

Annexure-8 order, this Court has granted extension of time till

01.05.2021 to surrender the passport. He is still abroad. Due to the

pandemic situation he is unable to come back and seeks reasonable

extension of time for surrendering the passport.

2. After hearing the counsel on both sides, I am of the view

that it is only expedient in the interest of justice to grant him three

more months time from 01.05.2021 for surrendering the passport.

The undertaking given by the learned Counsel for the petitioner,

that he is prepared to abide by the conditions imposed by this Court,

is recorded.

The Criminal Miscellaneous Case is disposed of accordingly.
