10 /06.11.2025: I.A. No.11418 of 2025 By filing this interlocutory application, the appellant has renewed his prayer to suspend the sentence and release him on bail during the pendency of this appeal.

2. The appellant has been convicted in connection with POCSO Case No. 127 of 2021 for the offence under Section(s) 4(2) and 6 of the POCSO Act. He has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for twenty years and fine of Rs.20,000/- under Section 4(2) & 6 of the POCSO Act.

3. Heard, the learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. for the State and have gone through the impugned judgment, the evidence and the Trial Court Records.

4. Opportunity was given to the State to oppose the bail, which the State availed and opposed.

5. After hearing the parties, we find that though the appellant is stated to be aged 70 years, the girl who was a victim of his torture is aged about 10 years. In her statement she has clearly stated that this appellant had raped her.

6. Considering the statement, we are not inclined to release the appellant on bail.

7. Accordingly, I.A. No.11418 of 2025 stands dismissed.
