Judgement Date : 18 February, 2025
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI
Cr. Appeal (SJ) No. 127 of 2025
Ajay Sao --- --- Appellant
Versus
The State of Jharkhand --- --- Respondent
.......
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAVNEET KUMAR For the Appellant : Md. Imtiaz Khan, Advocate For the State : Mr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra, A.P.P.
04/18.02.2025 Heard learned counsel for the appellant and the learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State.
2. I.A No. 1738 of 2025 has been preferred on behalf of the appellant for ignoring defect no.89 (i) by which it has been pointed out by the stamp reporting that in the impugned judgment of conviction annexed at page 25 of the memo of appeal, two different dates of judgment has been mentioned i.e., 02.12.2024 and 26.11.2024.
3. Learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that from perusal of the impugned judgment it is evident that the date of judgment is 26.11.2024 and the order of sentence is dated 02.12.2024 and, therefore, the mentioning of date of judgment as 02.12.2024 in the first page of the judgment seems to be a typographical error, which may be ignored.
4. Learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State does not raise any objection.
5. In view of explanation furnished in the instant interlocutory application, the defect no. 89(i) as pointed out by the Office is ignored. I.A. No. 1738 of 2025 is allowed.
6. List this case under appropriate heading on 28.02.2025.
