IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI

M/s. Daily Wages Labour Union / Dainik Bhogi Mazdoor Sangh
... ... ... ... ... Petitioner
Versus
The State of Jharkhand and another... ... ... Opp. Parties
---------
CORAM: HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR
---------
For the Petitioner : Mr. Nand Kishore Pd. Sinha, Advocate Mr. Md. Salahuddin Ansari, Advocate For the Opp. Parties: Mr. Prabhat Kr. Sinha, Advocate Mr. Sahbaj Akhtar, A.C. to A.A.G.III
---------
03/Dated: 19.08.2025
1) Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
2) Admittedly, the S.L.P. preferred by the respondents herein was
dismissed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide its order
dated14.02.2025. It has been six months thereafter and still the
judgment in question has not been complied as on.
3) Clearly the respondents are in contempt having deliberately and
willfully not complied with the judgment passed by this Court.
Normally we would have proceeded to punish the respondents,
however, taking into consideration the persuasive submission
made by the counsel, we deem it appropriate to grant a week's
time to the respondents to comply with the judgment, failing
which the respondents will be deemed to have aggravated the
contempt already committed.
4) For compliance list on 26.08.2025.
