08/22.08.2023 Petitioner is claiming pay scale of the lecturer working as an Administrator as similarly situated persons have already been granted such benefits. Learned counsel places reliance upon the order and Judgment dated 01.08.2023 of this Court passed in W.P.(S) No. 6629 of 2019.

Ms. Khalida Haya Rashmi, learned counsel argues that the said order of this court has been considered and given effect to vide Resolution dated 03.02.2022 and as such petitioner is also entitled for the same and similar benefits i.e. the UGC Pay Scale corresponding to the revised pay scale. Learned counsel further argues that petitioner has already been considered and extended benefits of 6th and 7th pay revision benefits. He is entitled for the benefits of pay scale of the lecturer. Learned counsel further submits that representation filed by the petitioner has already been recommended by the University for granting said pay scale, which is at Annexure-7 to the writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that petitioner is not at all entitled for the said pay scale.

Nothing has been brought on record to show as to how petitioner is not entitled for the said benefits. Let an affidavit to that effect be filed explaining therein as to why pay scale of the lecturer is not extended to the petitioner while the other similarly situated persons have been given and extended such pay scale, as stated in paragraph-7 of the rejoinder.
