07/ 22.02.2021. Heard learned counsel for the appellant and the learned counsel for the State on the Interlocutory Application filed by the appellant for granting bail during the pendency of this appeal.
The appellant has been convicted and sentenced for the offences under Sections 370 and 370(A) of the Indian Penal Code.
From the evidence of the victim in the impugned Judgment, it is apparent that there is allegation against this appellant also, to have sold the victim girl for a sum of Rs.80,000/-. During trial, the victim has identified the appellant by face, as the person who had sold her along with the other co-accused.
In the facts of this case, we are not inclined to release the appellant, Ashok @ Bachchi, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
The aforesaid Interlocutory Application stands dismissed.
