02/07.04.2021 The appeal has been preferred by the appellant through learned counsel, Mr. Awnish Shankar on being nominated by High Court Legal Services Committee on the request of the appellant.

The sole appellant stands convicted for the offence under Sections 363, 366, 376 of I.P.C and Sections 4 and 8 of POCSO Act, 2012, by the impugned judgment dated 31.07.2019 rendered in Special (POCSO) Case No. 23 of 2018 by the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I-Cum-Special Judge, (POCSO Act), Simdega and has been sentenced to undergo R.I. for Life under Section 4 of the POCSO Act,2012 with a fine of Rs. 10,000/- and default sentence and further sentenced to undergo R.I for five years under Section 8 of the POCSO Act, 2012 with a fine of Rs. 10,000/- and default sentence, vide impugned order of sentence dated 31.07,2019.

Heard learned counsel for the parties on the prayer for condonation of delay of 505 days in preferring the instant Memo of Appeal made through I. A. No. 1870 of 2021.

Upon consideration of explanation and the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, delay is condoned. The instant I.A. stands disposed of.
