                                      ORDER

01. This is a petition filed by the petitioner for initiating contempt

proceedings against the respondents for willful disobedience and non-

compliance of the judgment dated 13.04.2015 passed in OWP No. 668/2015, an

operative portion whereof is reads as under:-

"Bearing in mind the importance of the event, the number of pilgrims expected to attend the annual Baisakhi Mela and the necessity of providing congenial atmosphere for smooth conduct of the event, it would be appropriate to appoint Deputy Commissioner Udhampur as interim Receiver/Administrator for making appropriate arrangements for the smooth conduct of annual Mela on the premises of the temple. The Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur shall be at liberty to associate the parties with the management of the event, if they so desire, and take all necessary steps to ensure extending of facilities to the pilgrims/devotees, maintain law and order and make proper arrangements for maintaining account of offerings/donations and other revenue generated

from stall holders. The interim Receiver shall also be authorized to take all steps deemed necessary for safeguarding the interests of the temple and preserving its property. A report together with the statement of account shall be submitted to this Court within one month."

02. In response to the notice issued by this Court, respondent Nos. 3

to 5 has filed compliance report and has also placed on record a copy of order

bearing No. 723/ARA/DCU dated 07.12.2015 whereby the Deputy

Commissioner has taken over the management and with a view to run affairs of

the Temple has constituted, a committee of four members headed by Tehsildar

Territorial Udhampur.

03. In view of the compliance report filed and the order dated

07.12.2015 placed on record, there is no point in keeping this contempt petition

pending. The judgment of this court has been complied with. Accordingly, the

proceedings in the contempt petition are closed.
