By way of this petition filed under Section 439 of

the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner has prayed for

grant of bail in FIR No. 66 of 2020, dated 04.04.2021,

registered under Sections 20, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs

and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station State

Sadar, District Bilaspur, H.P.

Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

2. Status report filed, which is ordered to be taken on

record.

3. The Court stands informed that statements of all the

.

prosecution witnesses stand recorded and now the matter is

listed for recording the statement of the accused under Section

313 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The Court has further

been informed that in the bail petition of the other co-accused,

this Court has been pleased to observe that learned Trial Court

should make endeavour to expedite the trial subject to its

roster.

4. Accordingly, taking into consideration the stage of

the case, this petition is disposed of with the observation that

learned Trial Court be make endeavour to expedite the case

subject to its roster, however, liberty is reserved to the petitioner

to approach the Court afresh in case there is any inordinate

delay in the completion of the trial.
