1. Learned advocate for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition, as the same has rendered infructuous, in view of the subsequent development as the respondent authority has dropped the proceedings for the relevant assessment year.

2. Learned Senior Standing Counsel Mr. Varun K. Patel for the respondent has tendered an affidavit-in-reply filed by the respondent. The same is ordered to be taken on record.

3. In view of specific averments made in the affidavit-in-reply, the same read thus:

"2. It is submitted that in view of aforesaid judgment dated 14.07.2025, the assessment proceedings for A.Y 2015-16 in case of the petitioner assesses has been dropped by the department by office note dated 11.11.2025. The same has also been communicated to the assessee by letter/email dated 13.11.2025, copy of which is annexed hereto and marked as Annexure-A. It is therefore submitted that in view of above, the present petition has become infructuous."
